The “Skyscraper” Technique Actually Works
I was skeptical, but then I tried it. I found a popular article about camping stoves with 100+ backlinks, created a MUCH better version with side-by-side comparison photos I took myself, then reached out to everyone linking to the original. Got 9 backlinks from one piece of content.
Create Something Link-Worthy First

Don’t Sleep on HARO
Help A Reporter Out has been one of my secret weapons. I respond to queries about outdoor gear and camping tips, and I’ve landed mentions (with backlinks) in Outside Magazine and REI’s blog. These high-authority backlinks moved the needle WAY more than dozens of lower-quality links combined.
