Entrepreneurship publishing splits into four tiers, and where you can land a byline depends on whether you have built something or just written about building.

The major business media have narrowed their contributor programmes. The startup outlets take founder journeys with numbers. The small-business resources take practical how-tos. The community blogs are open. The list of 100 is below, grouped by tier.

Pick your tier first

What the metrics mean

MetricWhat it isHow much it matters
Domain Rating (DR)Ahrefs' 0 to 100 score for a whole site's backlink profileA useful filter, not a verdict
Domain Authority (DA)Moz's equivalent 0 to 100 scoreSame idea as DR
Page Authority (PA)Moz's score for one specific pageMatters once you know which page your post will live on
URL Rating (UR)Ahrefs' score for one specific URLSame purpose as PA
Monthly TrafficEstimated organic visits per monthThe most honest signal that a link will be seen

Here is the deal: the "entrepreneur" niche is full of recycled motivational content. Editors want a real operator story, real numbers, or a lesson you paid for, not another "10 habits of successful people" post.

The 100 sites

Domain Rating, Domain Authority, Page Authority, URL Rating and estimated monthly traffic. Every domain was checked live in September 2026; shut-down and dormant blogs were replaced with active publications. Metrics are third-party estimates and shift over time.

The pitch that works

  1. Lead with the number or the failure. "We hit $1M ARR in 14 months with a team of 3" or "the pricing mistake that cost us 40% of revenue" earns the read.
  2. Show the receipts. A revenue graph, a hiring timeline, a real P&L detail.
  3. Pitch the section. "For your founder stories" or "for the small-business operations coverage" shows you read the outlet.
  4. Bring the assets. A framework, a template, a spreadsheet.
  5. Match the format. Business media want a reported story. Startup outlets want a founder journey. Resource sites want a how-to.
  6. Disclose the company you are writing about or from.

The test: would an editor run this if you had nothing to sell? If yes, pitch it. If it exists only to place a link, it goes in the bin.

What not to do

  • Pitch a "habits of successful entrepreneurs" listicle.
  • Tell a success story with no numbers.
  • Send the same pitch to Forbes and a side-hustle blog.
  • Put exact-match anchors ("business plan software") on links back to your product.
  • Use AI-generated motivational content with no real operator behind it.

Bottom line: one placement on Inc, Entrepreneur or a respected startup outlet, built on a real founder story with numbers, beats a dozen links from thin motivational-content sites.

Frequently asked questions

Do sites like Inc or Entrepreneur accept guest posts?

Their contributor programmes have narrowed sharply. They now commission most content and take expert commentary from vetted operators. The startup outlets, small-business resources and community blogs are where contributed writing runs.

What gets published?

A founder story with real revenue, headcount and timeline; a documented lesson from a failure; original data on a market or business model; or a practical operations guide. Motivational think-pieces do not get past the desk.

Can I link to my company?

One disclosed link in the author bio at most, and only where the piece is genuine story or analysis. Editors strip promotional links from the body.

I am not a well-known founder. Can I still get published?

Yes, on the mid-tier and community sites, if the story is specific and honest. "How we got our first 100 customers with no budget" beats a vague success narrative from a bigger name.

The metrics do not match my SEO tool. Why?

Domain Rating and traffic estimates are recalculated constantly and differ between tools. Many "startup blogs" from the 2010s are now abandoned.

Want us to run the outreach?

We shortlist the entrepreneurship outlets that carry weight, shape your founder story or data, write the pitches and place them. No link farms, no risk.
