Italian publishing splits into four tiers, and where you can land a byline depends on which one you aim at, not on how many editors you email.
The national newspapers do not run guest posts. The verticals and digital-native magazines do. The business and legal sites take practitioner analysis. The smaller blogs are wide open. The list of 100 is below, grouped roughly by tier.
Pick your tier first
| Tier | Examples | How you get in |
|---|---|---|
| National newspapers & wires | Repubblica, Corriere, La Stampa, Il Sole 24 Ore, ANSA, AGI | Not guest posts. An op-ed (intervento) or expert commentary on a live story |
| Verticals & digital magazines | Wired.it, Focus, Vanity Fair, Vogue.it, DiLei, GreenMe, TuttoAndroid, La Cucina Italiana | Freelance and contributor pitches in Italian; how-tos, analysis, buying guides with a fresh angle |
| Business, finance & legal | Affari Italiani, Money.it, QuiFinanza, Investire Oggi, La Legge per Tutti, Italia Oggi | Practitioner analysis, original data, market explainers; strict on disclosure for YMYL topics |
| Niche & smaller blogs | BlogSicilia, Benessereblog, Bebeblog, Giardinaggio.it, ItalianBark, Marketing Italia | Open to contributions; practical guides, local angles, first-hand experience |
What the metrics mean
| Metric | What it is | How much it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Domain Rating (DR) | Ahrefs' 0 to 100 score for a whole site's backlink profile | A useful filter, not a verdict |
| Domain Authority (DA) | Moz's equivalent 0 to 100 score | Same idea as DR |
| Page Authority (PA) | Moz's score for one specific page | Matters once you know which page your post will live on |
| URL Rating (UR) | Ahrefs' score for one specific URL | Same purpose as PA |
| Monthly Traffic | Estimated organic visits per month | The most honest signal that a link will be seen |
Here is the deal: the Italian market is smaller, so a placement on a mid-DR vertical read by your buyers is worth more than a link buried in a national daily's archive. Judge relevance and the section first, DR second.

Domain Rating, Domain Authority, Page Authority, URL Rating and estimated monthly traffic. Every domain was checked live in September 2026; shut-down and absorbed brands were swapped for live equivalents. Metrics are third-party estimates and shift over time.

The pitch that works for Italian editors
- Write to the editor in Italian. A pitch in English marks you as someone who will file English copy. Send it in the language the piece will run in.
- Lead with the Italian angle. Italian data, an Italian case, or how a trend plays out in the Italian market, in the first two lines.
- Pitch the section (rubrica), not the masthead. "Per la vostra sezione tecnologia" shows you read the site and know where the piece fits.
- Bring something a staff writer cannot get. Proprietary data, a survey of Italian users, first-hand operator experience, an interview.
- Match the format to the tier. Op-ed desks want a tight argument. Verticals want a structured how-to. Blogs want first-hand detail.
- Disclose any client or brand tie up front. Italian editors check, and a hidden conflict ends the relationship.
The test: would this editor run the piece if you had nothing to sell? If yes, pitch it. If it only exists to place a link, it goes in the bin.
What not to do
- Send an auto-translated article. Italian editors reject it on the first paragraph.
- Pitch Repubblica or Corriere a "guest post." That format does not exist there; you burn the contact.
- Use the same pitch for a national title and a niche blog. The angle has to change.
- Put exact-match anchors ("miglior CRM") on links back to your product or store.
- Ignore disclosure rules on finance, health and legal topics. One buried conflict and the piece is pulled.
Bottom line: a handful of placements on Italian sites your buyers read, written by a native speaker, will move rankings and revenue more than a long list of high-DR links nobody in the market sees. Use this list to find your handful.
