Yoga publishing splits into four tiers, and where you can land a byline depends on whether you teach, practise deeply, or just write about it.

The big yoga media do not take open guest posts. The teacher resources take method and business content. The practice blogs are open. The brands run product-adjacent editorial. The list of 100 is below, grouped by tier.

Pick your tier first

TierExamplesHow you get in

What the metrics mean

MetricWhat it isHow much it matters
Domain Rating (DR)Ahrefs' 0 to 100 score for a whole site's backlink profileA useful filter, not a verdict
Domain Authority (DA)Moz's equivalent 0 to 100 scoreSame idea as DR
Page Authority (PA)Moz's score for one specific pageMatters once you know which page your post will live on
URL Rating (UR)Ahrefs' score for one specific URLSame purpose as PA
Monthly TrafficEstimated organic visits per monthThe most honest signal that a link will be seen

Here is the deal: yoga overlaps with health and mindfulness, so anything touching injury, therapy or medical claims needs real qualifications. A piece from a certified teacher or a yoga therapist carries weight a generic wellness post does not.

The 100 sites

Domain Rating, Domain Authority, Page Authority, URL Rating and estimated monthly traffic. Every domain was checked live in September 2026; dormant and shut-down blogs were replaced with active yoga publications. Metrics are third-party estimates and shift over time.

The pitch that works

  1. Lead with the teaching or the practice. "As a yoga therapist working with lower-back pain" or "what 10 years of Mysore practice taught me about consistency" earns the read.
  2. State your credential. Certification, lineage, years teaching. Editors want to know who is giving the guidance.
  3. Pitch the section. "For your teaching resources" or "for the philosophy series" shows you read the site.
  4. Bring your own detail. A sequence you teach, cues that work, a real student example (anonymised).
  5. Match the format. Media want a reported or personal piece. Teacher resources want a structured guide. Blogs want an honest essay.
  6. Disclose any training or product you have a stake in.

The test: would an editor run this if you had nothing to sell? If yes, pitch it. If it exists only to place a link, it goes in the bin.

What not to do

  • Pitch a generic "5 poses for beginners" listicle with no teaching credential.
  • Make injury, prenatal or therapy claims with no qualification attached.
  • Send a lightly-reworded version of a post already on your own site.
  • Stuff affiliate links, or point exact-match anchors ("best yoga mat") at your store.
  • Use AI-generated "yoga tips" with no lived practice behind them.

Bottom line: a few placements on yoga media and teacher resources with real readers, written from actual practice or teaching, will do more for rankings and studio bookings than a long list of dormant yoga-blog links.

Frequently asked questions

Do sites like Yoga Journal accept guest posts?

Not open guest posts. Yoga Journal, Yoga International and the wellness media commission from staff and experienced contributors. They will take a byline from a senior teacher, a yoga therapist, or a writer with a fresh reported angle. The teacher resources and practice blogs are more open.

What do I need to pitch a yoga site?

For anything physical (alignment, injury, therapy, prenatal), a recognised teaching certification (RYT-200/500) or a yoga-therapy qualification, and ideally a named reviewer. For philosophy, practice and lifestyle pieces, real depth of practice.

Can I link to my studio, teacher training or product?

One disclosed link in the author bio at most, and only where the piece is genuinely useful. Editors strip promotional links from the body.

Which matters more, Domain Rating or the audience?

The audience. A mid-DR site read by practitioners and teachers in your style beats a higher-DR general wellness site that buries your post.

The metrics do not match my SEO tool. Why?

Domain Rating and traffic estimates are recalculated constantly and differ between tools. The yoga-blog space has thinned, and several well-known blogs from the 2010s have stopped publishing.

Want us to run the outreach?

We build the shortlist by style and tier, pair physical pieces with a certified teacher or therapist, write the pitches and place them on real yoga publications. No link farms, no risk.
