The blog part of a store caches beautifully. The part that makes money, the cart and checkout, does not. WooCommerce hosting is really about how fast the host builds an uncached, logged-in page.

- Dedicated CPU and RAM, not a shared pool, so checkout stays fast under load
- NVMe storage for the many small database reads a filtered catalogue makes
- A CDN for product images
- Daily automated backups and easy staging for testing plugin updates
- A datacenter near your buyers

When to move off shared hosting
A new store on a well-configured shared plan with Redis is fine. Move to a cloud or managed plan when checkout slows during sales, when you run more than a handful of concurrent buyers regularly, or when the host flags CPU usage. At that point dedicated resources are not a luxury, they are the checkout staying up on your best day.

Test the checkout, not the home page. Add a product, go to checkout while logged in, and time it. That page cannot be cached, so it tells you what the host's raw performance is. If it is slow with one visitor, it will be worse on sale day.
